Another print for smiles is being scheduled for April 26-30, 2010. This charity event will directly benefit the kids that need treatment for cleft lip and palate. Please call Canon Philippines at 884-9000 local 9139 to reserve a slot.

Just a quick drive from Global City, the new Canon showroom is located in McKinley Hill, Fort Bonifacio. Arriving mid morning for the printing chores, I was surprised at how small the new showroom was.

At roughly 200 square meters, the floor is divided into 2 major sections. On the right, home and pro printers abound. On the left side are all their consumer stuff- the p&s’s, Dslr’s, Selphy’s and surprisingly no lenses except the ones already on as kit for the Dslr’s.

The showroom is tucked under a building without the big red Canon logo-I am sure it will be put up after the official launch. It was not hard to find though but it did take one u-turn to and a few questions to security guards to find it.

The heat was excruciating and getting into the showroom to a temperature courtesy of the AC was a great relief. A Canon rep greeted me and pointed towards Ms. Bianca Ibarra(photo on right), who delightfully answered all my prodding. Who then handed the carefully post processed photos (a quick post edit the night before) on the CD to another rep. Loaded the CD into their MacBook Pro and aligned the photos on the blank page to get it ready for printing.

Ms. Ibarra showed me a sample of the canvas I chose for my prints. The Canon rep started to print the photos. If you have never printed your photos on large format canvas paper I strongly suggest you try it.

The exact reproduction of the photos were stunning.
